Study trip to Zadar County for representatives of Canton 10 Government
As a part of the project „Support to European Integration in the Federation of BiH”, a study trip to the Zadar County was organized for ten representatives of the Canton 10 Government, led by the Prime Minister, Mr Draško Dalić on the 26th and 27th January of 2017. The overall goal of the study trip was a good-practice transfer between the Zadar County and the Government of Canton 10 with a special focus on future cross border cooperation and learning from the experiences of the Zadar County in the sustainable development and EU integration processes.
During the visit, numerous visits across the County and the institutions operating within were very valuable for the delegation of the Canton 10 Government in gaining know-how and good practice knowledge in light of the EU integrations, sustainable regional and rural development as well as environment protection. During the meetings, the hosts presented their experiences for sustainable development of the County: opportunities, challenges, capacity building and inner workings of the institutions. Emphasis was put on strategy design, monitoring and implementation process; action plans for the execution of the strategies and all the steps taken in past and current projects design, financing and implementation in the area.
Furthermore, the delegation had an opportunity to experience and visit on sight, successful implementation of the projects in areas of regional and rural development and environmental protection. During the meetings at the Zadar County, ZADRA Nova and AGRRA all of the stakeholders highlighted intention for the joint project creation, followed by the cross border cooperation and implementation. The representatives of the Government of Canton 10 gained valuable knowledge for the future socio-economic sustainable development of the area, but also the prospect of the future joint cross-border projects in the areas of rural and regional development between Canton 10 and Zadar County.
