
Community of Practicioners – Pillar of the Strategic Planning System
The initiative for forming a community of practitioners which should be the pillar of strategic planning and implementation of development strategies in FBiH was considered during the conference of the Network of cantonal practitioners, held in Neum 30.05 – 01.06.2016 with support from Integrated Local Development Project (ILDP) which is an initiative of the Swiss Government and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Foreign Policy Initiative Director, Lejla Ramić-Mesihović on this occasion held a presentation on the role of cantons in the EU integration process, main challenges in the process and the progress achieved so far. Project “Support to the EU Integration Process in FBiH“, which is currently implemented by FPI BH with cantonal administrations in six FBiH cantons was also presented.
The aim of the conference was the exchange of good practices in the strategic planning system and implementation of development strategies in all cantons in FBiH. Special attention was given to organization of implementation of development strategies, frameworks and planning practices of different levels of government (cantonal, entity and state). More than 30 practitioners for development planning from all ten cantons attended the conference as well as representatives from FBiH institutions, BiH Directorate for Economic Planning and experts from Croatia which presented good practices from the European Union.
