WeBER 2.0 – Western Balkan Civil Society Empowerment for a Reformed Public Administration
Since December 2019 until December 2022, Foreign Policy Initiative BH (FPI BH), in cooperation with regional Think for Europe (TEN) Network and European Policy Centre – EPC from Brussels will implement the project Western Balkan Civil Society Empowerment for a Reformed Public Administration (WeBER 2.0) committed to the strengthening of participatory democracy through greater engagement of civil society in the development and implementation of public administration reforms in the Western Balkans.
The Project is supported by the European Commission. The aim of the Project is to empower civil society organisations’ participation in public policymaking at national and regional levels and to enhance their controlling and consultative role. With enabling civil society organisations to participate in a constructive dialogue dedicated to reforms, WeBER 2.0 Project is contributing to the overall EU accession processes of Western Balkan countries. Good media coverage of public administration reform based on arguments and evidence play an equally important role in these processes, so the most important target groups are civil society organisations, public administration reform authorities (ministries/offices), citizens, and media. The expected impact of the Project is empowered civil society organisations in the Western Balkans to engage in the design and implementation of the public administration reform in line with the requirements in the EU accession process.
